Sunday, December 7th from 10am-5pm: Teaware with Hiroki Lory
Join us for a full day of refining our skills in throwing off the hump by making teaware (sans teapot)! We will be throwing and trimming various vessels to drink our tea out of. Our focus will be heavy on throwing off the hump to produce small teacups suitable for gong-fu style tea brewing, or larger tea bowl for matcha. Participants will pick their favorite handful (4-5) of teacups and one tea bowl to fire at the end of the workshop.
This workshop is structured for former teapot students at an intermediate/advanced level. There will be a one-hour lunch break during this workshop so please bring lunch. Participants will need to come back to glaze once workshop pieces are fired.
No refunds or date transfers 48 hours before your workshop date. There are no refunds for damaged, lost, or discarded pottery.
