This class will treat clay as a dynamic, flexible medium for quick, exploratory sculpting. Students will engage in a series of short form exercises designed to develop gestural skills, encourage improvisation, and foster a playful approach to three dimensional forms. This class emphasizes fluidity, spontaneity, and creative exploration. Perfect for those looking to loosen up their sculpting techniques and explore the material’s possibilities.
A basic knowledge of hand building level one skills is recommended for success in this class.
Your class registration includes up to 10 pounds of clay fired, all supplies/glazes/firings, and open studio hours to work outside of class time. All you need to do is show up ready to learn!
