Level 2B classes focus on expansion - broadening the scope of forms that students feel comfortable with. We turn our energies towards scaling up, basic surface design, and exploring a multitude of new forms.

Class day/time:

Level 2B classes focus on expansion - broadening the scope of forms that students feel comfortable with. We turn our energies towards scaling up, basic surface design, and exploring a multitude of new forms.

Example of Expansion 2B rotating 4-week curriculum:

Week 1: New tool introduction, metal rib with a focus on compression and structural stability in new forms.

Week 2: Shapes hard to lift off the wheel that are commonly used with bats.

Week 3: Focus on finishing techniques for leather hard pieces and making components to attach/how to attach them.

Week 4: Slip & surfaces. Some on/off the wheel uses for slip are discussed.

Your class registration includes up to 10 pounds of clay fired, all supplies/glazes/firings, and open studio hours to work outside of class time. All you need to do is show up ready to learn!
